We had our last book club meeting of the year at a fine Irish pub with good beer, good food and good friends.  We went through the list of the books for the Guys to give a thumbs up, down or sideways with their comments.

January A Short history of Nearly Everything by Bryson  (most thumbs up or sideways)

“I found it emotionally distant actually, but brilliant.”

December – Bridge of Birds by Hughart (Thumbs up)

“A wonderful romp with so many levels.”

“I didn’t get past the first chapter.”

“I warned you about the first part!”

“It was great.  The sequels aren’t as good but this is amazing.”
