I am a school librarian, dad, hubby, and geek from the Atlanta area.  I also tweet @library_jim and I’m pretty sure these blog posts show up there automatically as well.

I mostly blog about books I read. I’m in a great book club called Guys Read who get their books at the awesome Little Shop of Stories.

I like to promote the Georgia Children’s Picture Book nominees with my students and go to the Georgia Children’s Book Award (GCBA) conference every year to meet amazing authors and illustrators.

My district has a quiz bowl-like reading team competition every spring called the Reader’s Rally. I usually read all of the books and post about those as well.

I also might post about random things going on in my school library or things my family is reading or whatever floats my boat. Let me know if you have any questions or anything you’d like me to write about.

I’m on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/library_jim/

I’m on Goodreads as, who else? library_jim!

All opinions are my own so don’t blame anyone else or any organization for my babblings.

Hello, I’m a librarian in Temecula, CA and our school just had a mayor renovation including our library. Today was the walk through and our returned book bin which we have under the counter is gone! I saw the pictures in your blog and and it is exactly what I need. Would you please, if you know where I could get another box like that, would you let me know? I really would appreciate it!

  2. That’s a tough one. It has a sticker on it saying it’s from Broadart, so I’d start there. But I just did a brief search and didn’t find this exact one so it might take some digging. Good luck!
